Roadplanner
Functieomschrijving
For the in-house carrier of DHL Global Forwarding, Starbroker, we are looking for a roadplanner.On behalf of our network we contract airfreight capacity on strategic lanes around the world and more particular from Europe. We use part- or full charters as well as scheduled airlines. We contract in excess of 2000 trucks per month mostly operating between European airports. Our European Capacity Planning team is located in Brussels at Brucargo.
As roadplanner your tasks will be:
- Truck planning of various inbound charter projects landing in different European airports
- Control and manage the SBR trucking network and manage extra ad-hoc planning and/or deviations in collaboration with our trucking suppliers
- Optimize trucks in collaboration with Air Capacity Planning
- Manage the weekend truck monitoring (gathering truck details, updating our internal customers on needed truck details, track and trace of trucks positions and able to check on realistic ETA’s)
- Manage to tackle trucking issues and find suitable solutions (trucks delays, cannot meet flight’s deadlines, ....)
Profiel
As roadplanner:
- you have experience or studies in Airfreight
- you are apart from your mother language fluent in English
- you are a strong communicator and teamplayer
- you are customer and quality driven
- you preferably have knowledge of Pharma and hazardous material transportation
- you are familiar with customs procedures
